Coachbase team

As our company has grown, I realize it gets harder and harder to learn about everyone’s feelings. I believe that a happy and fulfilled team is paramount to the success of our company. Everything starts within, happy employees mean better performances, higher retention and eventually a better experience for our customers.

So I started sending a weekly survey to our team asking them 3-4 questions about our company. Claritybox has a great set of sample questions you can ask:

  • Why did you join the company?
  • What do you think is the vision of the company?
  • Have you ever considered leaving?
  • How would you describe the CEO’s leadership style?

I was surprised by how candid my team’s responses were and I learned ALOT about my company.

In my last blog, I wrote about having a purpose and a higher calling. Turns out, for some the purpose is not the most important. Some people really need the money to support their family and that’s totally fine.

You’ll get a range of comments like:

“Very happy. I like the atmosphere here. My colleagues are all my peers. No boring regulations and rules.”

So if you run a company larger than 3-4 people, try sending out a survey. Might find out some interesting things about your company!
